Terms of service
Who we are. Soundtrait is the trading name of Jack Allen, operating in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@soundtrait.com.
What we sell. Soundwave art: prints and digital artwork drawn from the shape of a real audio recording, either designed by you in our editor or chosen from our premade designs.
Your design is your proof. The live preview shows exactly what will be produced. Please check spelling, names, dates and layout before you buy — personalised items are printed exactly as previewed, and we can't accept responsibility for errors in text you entered. Colours can vary slightly between screens and print.
Your content. Text you add to a design must be yours to use and must not be unlawful, offensive or infringe anyone's rights. We may cancel and refund any order whose content we're not willing to print.
Orders. Your order is an offer to buy; our confirmation email is our acceptance. We may cancel and refund an order where there has been an obvious pricing or product error, or where we cannot fulfil it. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
Digital downloads — your licence. Digital files are for your personal use: print them for yourself or as a gift, and share images of them socially. You may not sell, licence, mass-produce or redistribute the files or prints of them, or use them commercially, without our written agreement. We retain the intellectual property in the artwork engine and design styles.
Music and trademarks. Song titles, artist names and album names shown on designs identify the recording you chose; they remain the property of their respective owners. Soundtrait is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any artist, band or record label. The artwork is a visual representation of audio data — it does not contain or reproduce the recording itself.
Delivery, cancellation and returns are covered by our Shipping policy and Return and refund policy, which form part of these terms.
Our liability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including for faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015). Otherwise, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Events beyond our control. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, though we'll always do our best to keep your order moving and keep you informed.
Changes. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published when you place your order applies to it.
Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies
